Is there a fee for posting jobs? No, the service is provided free as a courtesy to employers and to the clients accessing our centres who are looking for work.
How quickly will my employment information be posted, and for how long? Normally, your position will be posted on our centre job boards within two business days after we receive it. A posting will normally be posted for 2 weeks, unless specified differently by the employer.
What kind of exposure will my posting get? We can get over 100 clients visiting each of our centres every day. These clients have a wide variety of skills, education, and abilities.
If I want to make changes to my posting, can I do so?
Yes, but please be advised it may again take up to 2 business days to incorporate your changes and repost your position. Therefore, we highly recommend that you ensure your initial posting is what you want to display.
If I hire someone before the expired posting date, can I have the posting taken down? Yes, we can remove the posting at any time - just give us a call.
Where will my posting be displayed? The posting will be displayed at both of our centres.
What information do I need to include in the posting? Download one of the forms at the top of the page and then fill out the fields that are relevant to your employment position and fax the form to: 250-376-3123 or 250-372-3929, or phone in the info to 250-372-3803 or 250-376-3111.
Will you collect resumes for me? We do not collect resumes for employers. Clients must forward their resumes to you in accordance with the application instructions (ex., fax, email, in-person) you provide on your posting.
Can I include phrases like "women only" or "must be between ages of 25-35"? We adhere to the Human Rights Code,which prevents us from discriminatory language, UNLESS there is a legitimate job-related reason for such discrimination. In such cases, the liability to demonstrate this reason rests with you, the employer.
Do I have to post a regular full-time position? No, we get many employers posting casual labour, part-time, temporary, and even contract work.
